Jennie M. Shaw Community Foundation

The Jennie M. Shaw Community Development Foundation, Inc. (“Jenny Shaw Foundation”) is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization and its primary purpose is to provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors. The eligible seniors include students who are members of Fifth Street Baptist Church, residents of the Highland Park Community, or attend John Marshall High School or Armstrong High School.  Since 2003, the Jennie Shaw Foundation has awarded over 15 scholarships.

The Jennie Shaw Foundation is named after one of Richmond’s greatest ambassadors and missionaries, Deacon Jennie M. Shaw.  Unfortunately, Deacon Shaw was called home to the Lord on May 13, 2021.

Deacon Shaw’s legacy of serving the community will be sustained through the Jennie Shaw Foundation. If you would like to be a part of a lasting legacy, consider making an annual or one-time donation to the Jennie Shaw Foundation. Our address is:
